Police are investigating a series of drive-by shootings over the past month that has left bullet holes in the sides of homes and cars in a Denver neighborhood.

The shootings have all happened within the past month near West 27th Avenue and Hazel Court, northeast of Sloan’s Lake. Homes have been hit on both sides of the street. No injuries have been reported, but neighbors said they feel it’s only a matter of time.

“It’s just crazy, and it’s bad,” said Joey Pacheco. “I think it’s the same person.”

Pacheco said the latest incident happened about 10:30 p.m. Monday. Surveillance video shows a driver speeding away after multiple shots were fired.

“It was just rapid, like pow-pow-pow-pow, like somebody threw a pack of firecrackers,” Pacheco said.

Other shootings were reported on Jan. 25 and Feb. 14.

Denver Police said no arrests have been made but say an active investigation is taking place.

“I hope they track them down because it’s not right,” Pacheco said. “I just hope they catch the guy. That’s all you can do, hope and pray.”
