Commerce City house party shooting leaves 1 dead, 2 injured

One person was killed and two others are injured after shots were fired at a house party in Commerce City on Sunday morning.

The shooting occurred among a large gathering of people before 2 a.m. at a house in the 2900 Block of E. 69th Place, Commerce City Police Department said in a news release posted on Facebook.

A man was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Another person, police added, was transported to the hospital with unclear injuries and a third person self-transported themselves with a non-life threatening injury.

Those who attended the party are currently in the process of being interviewed by detectives, police said.

No suspect is in custody, police said.

Later Sunday afternoon, police said they are looking for a small, single can, white and older model pickup truck with five spoke wheels.

Police added that many attended the party after finding out about it on social media.

Partygoers told Denver Gazette news partner 9News there was an argument prior to the shooting.

The investigation is ongoing.

Those with information can contact Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.

This is a developing story.
