Valor Christian hockey wins USA Hockey national title | Colorado Sunshine
Where good news shines
After a disappointing loss to Regis Jesuit in the Class 5A hockey state championship game, the Valor Christian “Screaming Eagles” Tier 1 hockey team rallied and won the USA Hockey High School Tier 1 title this week.
The Screaming Eagles’ Tier 1 roster was identical to the varsity team’s roster from the CHSAA season. The only difference was a variation on the team’s name, a CHSAA requirement.
During the team’s six national tournament games, sophomore Maddux Charles led the team with three goals and eight assists for 11 points.
This year’s tournament was held outside of Philadelphia in West Chester, Pa.
