Denver weather: Warm and sunny Wednesday, potential afternoon showers
Denver residents should expect balmy conditions on Wednesday, with a slight chance of showers in the afternoon, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.
Temperatures are expected to rebound on Wednesday, with highs in the upper 70s, the weather agency predicts. It’ll be mostly sunny with a 20% chance of showers after 4 p.m.
“Only isolated showers and thunderstorms can be expected this afternoon and evening, favoring the Wyoming and Nebraska border areas. Gusty outflow winds to around 35 mph can be expected with any of the showers,” the NWS said.
Wednesday night should be partly cloudy, with a low around 48 and mild breezes of 5-7 mph, according to NWS.

Thursday: A 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Increasing clouds, with a high near 77. Breezy, with a south southwest wind 5 to 15 mph becoming southeast in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 24 mph.
Friday: A 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 69. West wind 9 to 14 mph becoming north in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 22 mph.
Saturday: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. High near 55. Chance of precipitation is 100%.
Sunday: A chance of showers, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 59.
