Denver weather: Sunny and breezy on Tuesday, with highs in the low 70s

Denver residents can expect sunny skies and mostly moderate breezes on Tuesday as it warms around the Mile High City, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.

Tuesday’s high temperature is expected to be 72 degrees – about five degrees higher than the April 30 average, the weather agency said. The skies should be mostly sunny and clear, with winds ranging 5-13 mph and gusts as high as 21 mph.

The evening should be partly cloudy, with a low of about 44 degrees, according to the weather agency.

Wednesday: A 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Increasing clouds, with a high near 72. Breezy, with a south southwest wind 6 to 15 mph becoming north in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 24 mph.

Thursday: A slight chance of showers, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 61. Breezy, with a north northwest wind 7 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Friday: A slight chance of showers, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Partly sunny, with a high near 68. Breezy. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Saturday: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 69.
