Authorities hunt for suspicious items after hiker finds body near trail in Colorado
Following the discovery of a body near a trail in Colorado’s Summit County, authorities are on the hunt for several items and they’re asking the public for help tracking them down.
The body of an adult Hispanic male was found near a trail near the Summit Cove neighborhood, located just west of Keystone Resort, on April 27 at about 7:20 p.m. While there remains no community safety concern related to the incident, according to the Summit County Sheriff’s Office, their team is looking to track down discovered property or suspicious items that may be found in the area.
Included among known items are a black medium-sized backpack, a Dell Alienware laptop with red trim, and black shoes with black laces in size nine – brand unknown.
It’s unclear exactly why authorities are looking for these specific items, though they are presumably related to the case.
Anyone who finds these items or anything that may be suspicious is asked to contact Sergeant Mark Gafari at 970-423-8960.
