With Broncos draft picks scheduled to report Thursday to rookie minicamp, three have agreed to contract terms.

Sources said Wednesday that running back Audric Estime, a fifth-round pick from Notre Dame, wide receiver Devaughn Vele, a seventh-round selection from Utah, and offensive lineman Nick Gargiulo, a seventh-round pick from South Carolina, all agreed to deals they are expected to sign Thursday. The first day of the three-day camp under head coach Sean Payton is Friday at the Centura Health Training Center.

A source said Estime, taken No. 147 overall, has agreed to a four-year, $4.359 million contract that includes a signing bonus of $339,120. He will make a base salary of $795,000 as a rookie and count $879,780 against the salary cap.

A source said Vele, taken No. 235 overall, has agreed to a four-year, $4.124 million contract that includes a signing bonus of $104,480. He will make a base salary of $795,000 as a rookie and count $821,120 against the cap.

A source said Gargiulo, taken No. 256 overall, has agreed to a four-year, $4.1 million contract that includes a signing bonus of $80,732. He will make a base salary of $795,000 as a rookie and count $815,183 against the cap.

Draft picks having not yet signed are quarterback Bo Nix (taken in the first round), Utah outside linebacker Jonah Elliss (third), wide receiver Troy Franklin (fourth) and cornerback Kris Abrams-Draine (fifth).

Draft picks without signed deals by Friday will participate in the minicamp under an injury protection agreement. That is a common practice for draft picks during spring workouts, and guarantees a player would still get a standard contract for his draft spot in the event of injury.

A source said Elliss is expected to participate in the minicamp under an injury protection agreement. A source said cornerback Abrams-Draine is likely to sign before the start of camp.

90-man roster

With the release Wednesday of quarterback Ben DiNucci, the Broncos have 80 players on their roster, including draft picks. The NFL offseason limit is 90, so some additional players are expected to be released after undrafted free agents are signed.

The Broncos have agreed to sign 14 college free agents by Friday, although there have been occasions when a player who has agreed to a deal backs out.

According to NFL regulations and sources consulted on the matter, two of those college free agents, linebacker Thomas Yassmin and punter Nik Constantinou, are eligible for the International Player Pathway program due to being born outside the U.S. or Canada and not having played high school football in the U.S. So either of the Australia natives could end up not counting on the 90-man offseason roster. A team can choose to have just one such roster designation at a time, and there are other rules that govern the program. So it remains to be seen whether the Broncos will invoke that option.
