Parker police looking for vehicle in potential attempted abduction

Police are looking for a suspicious vehicle that may have been attempting to abduct a child outside of a Parker elementary school on Wednesday.

A student from the Frontier Valley Elementary School — located at 23919 Canterberry Parkway in the Canterberry Crossing neighborhood — reported to staff that a gray-haired man in a vehicle attempted to talk to another student around 9 a.m., according to a news release from the Parker Police Department.

The student who talked to the man was not harmed and eventually ran to the school, letting the staff know that he attempted to talk to them. 

Parker police are now looking for the black Audi sedan involved in the incident.

Legend High School, Cimarron Middle School and Frontier Valley, Iron Horse and Pioneer Elementary Schools were placed in secure status as a precautionary measure, the department said.

The secure status was lifted at 11:30 a.m. as police finished investigating the area.

Parker patrol continue to look for the vehicle or potential leads.
