Eastbound I-70 closed after crash involving dump truck

The eastbound lanes of Interstate 70 are closed Tuesday afternoon in Jefferson County following a crash involving a dump truck and several other vehicles.
The crash happened around 2:15 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of the highway near the Lookout Mountain Road exit. A spokesperson for the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said the truck’s load of asphalt spilled as a result of the crash. A CDOT camera in the area showed two other vehicles on the highway that appeared to be damaged.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said there were no known injuries. It wasn’t clear when the interstate would reopen.
