Nonprofits donate 7,000 hygiene kits to Colorado’s homeless, immigrants

Over 500 Young Single Adult conference attendees on Saturday assembled roughly 7,000 hygiene kits for homeless people and immigrants in Colorado.

The YSA conference, a faith-based event at the Colorado School of Mines in Golden, is attended by people ages 18-30 from Colorado, Wyoming, Nebraska, South Dakota and North Dakota.

The hundreds of YSA conferences attendees gathered outside to prep thousands of hygiene kits as part of the “JustServe” project focused on Colorado homelessness and immigration.

Roughly 5,000 of those kits included unisex supplies that could last an individual for a month provided by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and The Salvation Army, which oversees many homeless and immigrant shelters in metro Denver.

Colorado nonprofit Justice Necessary provided approximately 2,000 kits containing feminine hygiene projects.
