Driver involved in fatal hit-and-run arrested

DENVER — The Denver Police Department is investigating a hit and run crash that happened near Speer Boulevard and Colfax Avenue.
Denver Police first posted about the crash on the social platform X at about 12:23 a.m. on Thursday.
A driver and a pedestrian were involved in the crash. The pedestrian, a woman, was taken to the hospital. In an update just before 10 a.m., police said the woman had died.
The driver involved in the crash was arrested by police. Denver Police have not released the identity of the driver. He is being held for investigation of vehicular homicide and fleeing the scene of a crash. The investigation is still ongoing.
