Fire crews extinguish grass fire near Old Colorado City Saturday
A grass fire burning near Old Colorado City Saturday afternoon has been knocked down, according to an announcement from the Colorado Springs Fire Department.
Just before 2 p.m. Saturday fire officials announced that multiple fire apparatuses were on the scene of a grass fire burning near 901 N. 17th St. .
At around 2:40 p.m., officials said crews were transitioning into the “mop-up stages,” and that the fire had been knocked down.

According to the department, no injuries were reported from the fire and no structures were damaged.
The cause of the grass fire remains under investigation.
