Denver weather: Sunny skies and areas of smoke Tuesday

Denver can expect areas of smoke on Tuesday due to the Canadian wildfires burning north of Colorado, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder. 

Expect sunny skies and a high of 90 degrees. The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment has issued an air quality alert due to the smoke and haze brought from Canada. Limit time outside.

Looking ahead to Tuesday night, expect mostly clear skies and a low of 64 degrees.

Areas of smoke are expected to linger through Wednesday with highs in the upper 90s later in the week.

Wednesday: Expect areas of smoke. Sunny skies are in the forecast alongside a high of 95 degrees.

Thursday: Expect sunny skies and a high of 98 degrees.

Friday: There’s a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms in the forecast. Expect sunny skies and a high of 94 degrees.

Saturday: There’s a slight chance for showers in the forecast, mainly after noon. Expect mostly sunny skies and a high of 92 degrees.
