Denver is forecast for a high in the mid 80s and a chance of afternoon showers, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.

There’s a 50% chance of showers after 2 p.m. and another round possible before 11 p.m. Winds are expected to remain calm throughout the day and evening, ranging from 5-7 mph.

In the evening, the low could dip down to 61 degrees and wind gusts could burst up to 15 mph.

Some areas could see a bigger impact from the showers today.

“The primary threat will be flash flooding on the recent burn areas as stronger storms will produce locally heavy rainfall. Marginal risk of severe wind gusts on the plains. Similar risks Sunday but lower coverage of storms,” according to the weather service’s forecast discussion.
