Denver weather: Hot and drier Thursday

Denver is forecast for sunny, dry conditions Thursday with highs in the upper 80s, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.

Expect sunny skies Thursday and a high of 88 degrees.

“Only isolated thunderstorms are expected this afternoon and tonight,” the NWS said. “Most storms will only produce light rain, however a few could produce brief heavy rain and wind gusts up to 50 mph.”

Looking ahead to Thursday night, there’s a 20% chance of showers before midnight. Expect partly cloudy skies and a low of 59 degrees.

Highs will shoot up to the 90s on Friday, where they’ll remain through early next week.

Friday: Expect sunny skies and a high of 94 degrees.

Saturday: Sunny skies are in the forecast and a high of 96 degrees.

Sunday: There’s a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Expect partly sunny skies and a high of 93 degrees.

Monday: There’s a slight chance of thunderstorms after noon. Expect mostly sunny skies and a high of 92 degrees.
