2 dead in Eastmoor neighborhood shooting in southeast Denver
Police were called to the area of 4400 S. Syracuse St.
A shooting in a southeast Denver neighborhood left two men dead early Sunday morning.
At approximately 2:23 a.m., police were called to the scene near 4400 S. Syracuse St., located in southeast Denver’s Eastmoor neighborhood, according to a DPD spokesperson.
Six minutes after the initial call, an officer began performing life-saving measures to a man wounded on the ground, who moments later died on-scene, the spokesperson said.
Meanwhile, another wounded man self-transported himself to the hospital, where he later died, police said.
The DPD spokesperson said there is no current threat to the public.
There are no suspects currently in custody, according to police.
The shooting remains under investigation.
