Colorado mountain town ranks 3rd among ‘trending fall spots’ for 2024

Fall is almost here and with the changing seasons, Colorado’s leaves are set to glow brilliant shades of yellow, orange, and red.

Rental company HomeToGo recently published a list of ‘trending fall destinations’ around the country based on their website’s internal search data, and as the results reveal, many Americans have their eyes set on a tiny Centennial State mountain town.

According to HomeToGo, the southwestern San Juan Mountain region town of Ouray ranked third on their list of ‘trending fall spots’ around the United States, seeing a 106 percent increase in search queries related to the season.

This is no surprise, as the mountainous terrain in the area coupled with plenty of color-changing flora makes this the perfect place for autumn. Plus, there’s plenty of relief from hot summer temperatures in this area, not to mention numerous nearby scenic drives and mining ruins that make for plenty of activities that shine during this time of the year.

The top ‘trending fall spot’ was Nags Head, North Carolina, which has seen a 273 percent seasonal uptick in interest on HomeToGo.com.
