Denver weather: Mild Friday leads into perfect Labor Day weekend

Labor Day weekend is here around Denver and so are warm temperatures with little to no rain.

Denver residents can expect sunny skies Friday, with a high near 86, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder. Light and variable winds will blow, becoming southeast 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 16 mph.

“Only an isolated shower or weak thunderstorm is possible in the mountains and foothills south of I-70 this afternoon and evening,” the NWS said. “Otherwise mostly sunny skies and warm temperatures can be expected today.”

It’ll be mostly clear tonight, with a low around 60. South winds to blow between 6 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 16 mph.

Saturday and Sunday offer much of the same conditions as highs stay in the upper 80s around Denver, maybe creeping into the low 90s on Saturday.

Labor Day’s high should push to 90 as the monsoonal rains continue their vacation around Colorado.

Here is the 4-day forecast from the National Weather Service:

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 89. Calm wind becoming northeast 5 to 8 mph in the afternoon.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 86. Light and variable wind becoming southeast 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 26 mph.

Labor Day: Sunny, with a high near 90.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 90.
