Sunshine and blue skies across the Front Range today with high temperatures in the upper 80’s and low 90’s. Temperatures this afternoon will top out in the upper 80s to right around 90 degrees in the Denver area. 

A fire weather watch is in place for parts of Nebraska and Wyoming for tomorrow. No alerts for Colorado yet, but that could change at some point. The Front Range will be near the criteria for a warning with relative humidity dropping to 12-15% in some areas tomorrow.  If the windy conditions persist, fire weather conditions could develop across the plains. We’ll keep tracking that possibility.

As for shower or storm chances, watch for some isolated thunderstorms to develop in the mountains around noon and lasting until about sunset. 

High temperatures are forecast to be just a little hotter on Monday and Tuesday before a storm system slides across the northern part of the country, possibly bringing a cold front our way. That could spark up a few isolated thunderstorms on the Front Range Wednesday and keep our high temperature on Thursday near or below 80 degrees. 

It looks like another ridge of high pressure will build up by the end of the week bringing another warm and dry weekend to Denver.

WEDNESDAY: Isolated storms and cooler, high 85. Partly cloudy overnight, low 53.

THURSDAY: Cooler with a slight chance for a shower, high 80. Mostly cloudy overnight, low 53.

FRIDAY: Mostly sunny, high 85. Partly cloudy overnight, low 57.

SATURDAY: Partly cloudy, high 86. Partly cloudy overnight, low 59.
