Paul Klee’s pick: Seahawks 24, Broncos 17

Can you believe it’s been 22 years since Denver beat Seattle away from Mile High? Shoot, it was 23 years ago the Broncos and Seahawks shared the AFC West. Hot take: Seattle will be the surprise of the NFC — a playoff team, even. Bo Nix is one tough hombre. But Lumen Field and Mike MacDonald’s defense is a tougher draw.

Chris Schmaedeke’s pick: Seahawks 21, Broncos 16

The Broncos score 16 points and everybody gets scared. Denver may not score a lot of points, but it shows promise with Bo Nix at quarterback. This is a tough opener for Nix. Broncos have a chance at the end but can’t find the end zone late.

Chris Tomasson’s pick: Seahawks 17, Broncos 13

One thing that definitely will be different from 2023 is the Broncos won’t open the season with a surprise onside kick. What figures to be the same is a Denver opening-game loss for the third straight season. But if Bo Nix can show early signs that he can indeed be the Broncos’ long-term quarterback, there will be optimism.

Mark Kiszla’s pick: Broncos 23, Seahawks 21

I know how to pick stocks. NFL games? Not so much. So don’t take my advice to the bank (or a sports book). But the difference between these teams feels closer to a field goal than a touchdown. If the Broncos have any hope of playoffs, they are going to need to pull an upset or two on the road.

Kyle Fredrickson’s pick: Seahawks 20, Broncos 16

Bo Nix impresses in his first NFL start. But it won’t be enough to overcome the 12th Man advantage.
