The Henry restaurant coming to Cherry Creek North

The restaurant group behind North Italia, Flower Child, Blanco Tacos & Tequila and Culinary Dropout plans to open another one of its concepts in Cherry Creek North, the company announced.

Fox Restaurant Concepts said it will bring The Henry, an upscale restaurant with locations in L.A., Miami, Dallas and Phoenix, to a new development in Cherry Creek by 2026.

It’ll open in the 201 Fillmore, an eight-story office building with more than 8,500 square feet of ground floor retail. The building is 100% leased with the restaurant’s announcement and before it completes construction.

The Henry will have a New York-inspired patio in the alley space outside the building with string lights and greenery. The Henry will have its main restaurant on one side of the lobby and a bar on the other side.

“The addition of The Henry to 201 Fillmore underscores our commitment to bringing unique dining experiences to Cherry Creek North,” said Kyle Flippen, investment director at the developing firm Schnitzer West, in a release. “We believe this venue will quickly become a favorite destination for both locals and visitors, enhancing the vibrant community atmosphere.”

Chicken Salad Chick opening first Denver-area restaurant

Atlanta’s southern-style chicken salad restaurant is coming to the metro Denver region.

Chicken Salad Chick is opening a restaurant Tuesday in Littleton’s Aspen Grove shopping mall at 7301 South Santa Fe Dr.

It’s the company’s fourth location in Colorado and first within the Denver metro area.

Chicken Salad Chick was founded in Auburn, Alabama, in 2008 and has more than 260 restaurants in nearly 20 states. The restaurant franchise is headquartered out of Atlanta.

The company has Colorado locations in Greeley, Colorado Springs and Windsor. It plans to open another in Johnstown, according to Chicken Salad Chick.

On grand opening day in Littleton, the first 100 guests will win one free chicken salad each month for a year. The first guest in line will get one free large salad a week for the entire year.

“Cities like Littleton and Denver, with their vibrant and growing food scenes, are perfect locations for our restaurants,” said Scott Deviney, president and CEO of Chicken Salad Chick, in a press release. “That’s why we’re eager to introduce Chicken Salad Chick to these communities.”

Apartment complex by One River North developers opens in Aurora

The Broadleaf, a mixed-use residential complex near the Anschutz Medical Campus, opened this month.

The building was developed by the same team behind the River North Arts District’s One River North, or the canyon building, including Uplands Real Estate Partners, The Max Collaborative and Wynne Yasmer Real Estate.

The Broadleaf development in Aurora has 370 apartments and approximately 9,000 square feet of retail. It was built within the Fitzsimons Village, a master-planned community across the street from the medical school.

Apartments offer one- to three-bedroom rentals between 500 and 1,600 square feet in size.

The building signed a lease with Queen City Collective to open a coffee shop integrated with the residential lobby.

“We’re thrilled to bring a boutique residential building with top-of-market amenities to the professionals who work and study at the Anschutz Medical Campus,” said Josh Hoffman, a principal with Uplands, in a press release.

The seven-story development is near the Colfax RTD light rail station and is the tallest residential building in its submarket, according to the developers.

It has a rooftop pool, indoor and outdoor fitness center, co-working space, pet space, bike storage, garage parking and an outdoor courtyard with grills and picnic tables.
