Oregon man found after going missing for days from Denver airport
Jesse George "stormed" out of DIA when his identification was turned down.
An Oregon man missing since Tuesday during an altercation with the TSA over identification was found at Denver International Airport Friday.
The disappearance of Jesse George got the attention of several news stations, non-profit missing persons websites and social media. His photo was shared hundreds of times.
Denver police confirmed that George, 35, turned up Friday morning, but there was no information as to where he was or what he was doing for the last three days. In an email, police said he was located by an officer at the airport.
“Officers fed him, they contacted his family, and he was put on a plane,” according to a Denver Police Department spokesperson.
George’s sister, Bre Castellano, said that he was on a one-way flight from Oregon to Arkansas when TSA denied letting him through security at DIA to make his connection because he had a temporary I.D. Castellano said George “stormed off” and disappeared.
Castellano said she had not heard from her brother, but his luggage arrived at DIA and no one came to pick it up.
She thanked Denver police detectives for their work finding her brother.
“With the help and supervision of the Denver Police, he will make his next flight and be on his way to what I call ‘a better life,'” she said in a Facebook post.
