Pedestrian fatally struck by vehicle in north Denver

A woman is dead after a vehicle struck a pedestrian in north Denver on Sunday afternoon, according to the Denver Police Department.
Police said the crash, which involved a vehicle and pedestrian, occurred at 4:04 p.m. at the intersection of E 34th Avenue and N Colorado Boulevard.
A woman was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The driver, who left the scene, was found a short distance away and arrested, according to a Denver police spokesperson.
