Broncos re-sign offensive lineman Will Sherman to practice squad

The Broncos on Monday re-signed offensive lineman Will Sherman to the practice squad.
Sherman, who played at the University of Colorado, had started the season on the squad before being placed Oct. 8 on the practice squad injury list. On Oct. 9, he was released with an injury settlement.
The 6-foot-4, 300-pound Sherman was originally a sixth-round draft pick by New England after being a stalwart for the Buffaloes. He spent 2021 on the Patriots’ practice squad.
Sherman then spent 2022, 2023 and the early part of this season on Denver’s practice squad. He has yet to appear in an NFL regular-season game.
The Broncos now have a full practice squad of 17 players. After they released cornerback Levi Wallace from the 53-man roster on Dec. 24, they offered him a spot on the practice squad. But he ended up declining the offer.
The Broncos (10-7) open the playoffs Sunday at Buffalo (13-4).

He became the first Denver player to lead the league in that category since Rick Upchurch in 1982.
