Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic voted to seventh-consecutive All-Star Game
Nikola Jokic will appear in his seventh consecutive All-Star Game. February's All-Star festivities will be held in San Francisco.
One of the NBA’s hardest-working men will have another short break.
Nikola Jokic was voted as a starter in what will be his seventh-consecutive All-Star Game.
Jokic was averaging 30.1 points, 13.2 rebounds, 9.9 assists and 1.9 steals while shooting 56.3% from the field and 47.5% from 3-point range heading into Thursday’s game against Sacramento. The points, assists, steals and 3-point percentage are on pace to be career-highs for the three-time Most Valuable Player and soon-to-be seven-time All-Star.
Golden State’s Stephen Curry, Oklahoma City’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Phoenix’s Kevin Durant and Lakers star LeBron James will join Jokic among the Western Conference starters. It looks like Jokic will once again be Denver’s only representative in the All-Star Game. It will be Jokic’s fifth time as an All-Star starter.
The Eastern Conference starters are New York’s Jalen Brunson, Cleveland’s Donovan Mitchell, Milwaukee’s Giannis Antetokounmpo, Boston’s Jayson Tatum and New York’s Karl-Anthony Towns.
This year’s All-Star Game is set for Feb. 16 in San Francisco. For the first time, the All-Stars will be split into three teams that will compete in a four-team tournament. The fourth team will be made up of the winners of the Rising Stars Game. The semifinals and finals will be determined by the first team to reach 40 points.
