Northbound lanes of Interstate 25 were closed Saturday morning after a fatal crash in Larimer County.

The Colorado State Patrol responded to a crash on I-25 just north of Crossroads Boulevard, northeast of Loveland, Saturday morning, according to a press release from the department.

While investigators were looking into the crash, another occurred. A Toyota RAV4 went under a semi-truck in the same area, according to the release.

The driver of the Toyota was killed on impact. The driver of the semi-truck was not injured in the crash, the department said.

There was no estimated time for when lanes will reopen, and all northbound vehicles must exit using Exit 259 or find an alternate route.

The identity of the victim will be released by the Larimer County Coroner’s Office following investigations.

The lanes eventually reopened around noon Saturday.
