State-by-state report dubs ‘best Mexican restaurant’ in Colorado

It’s no secret that Americans love their Mexican restaurants, known for offering everything from freshly made guacamole to slow-cooked barbacoa and handmade tortillas. With that appreciation for this style of food in mind, travel publication 5 Reasons To Visit recently published its list of the best Mexican restaurants in each U.S. state.

The publication’s pick for Colorado ended up being La Loma Mexican in Denver. According to 5 Reasons To Visit, the restaurant offers an authentic dining experience with a vibrant atmosphere and stunning decor that evokes traditional Mexican culture. La Loma also uses locally sourced ingredients to make its dishes.

The restaurant’s extensive menu features “rich flavors, homemade tortillas, and specialty margaritas that delight the senses.” The restaurant has 4.1 stars on Yelp, and reviewers praise its atmosphere, with one writing that it is “cozy with warm lighting.” Reviewers also rave about the “delicious” food, with one even writing “I really wish I had a larger stomach because it was all so tasty.”

The most popular dishes among Yelpers were the chile rellenos, the brisket, and the Mexico City tacos.
