Crash of stolen car in Denver sends two to hospital

A crash involving a stolen car at the intersection of 14th Ave. and Federal Boulevard on Tuesday sent two people to the hospital, according to Denver authorities.

The driver of the stolen vehicle speeded down southbound Federal Boulevard and clipped two vehicles stopped in traffic, lost control and crashed into a utility pole, police said in a post on X.

The driver of the stolen vehicle was transported to the hospital with serious injuries; the occupant of one of the stationary vehicles was also brought to the hospital, the police said.

Authorities do not have a timetable for reopening southbound Federal Boulevard, which will remain closed at 14th Ave. while the crash is being investigated.
