Denver Police officer arrested on suspicion of domestic violence in Douglas County

A Denver Police Department officer was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence in Douglas County Wednesday.

Officer Brandon Greulich, 33, was arrested Wednesday evening on investigation of domestic violence misdemeanor offenses, including third-degree assault, false imprisonment, harassment and child abuse, according to a news release from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

Greulich first joined DPD in 2022. With the offenses being misdemeanors, he was placed in an off-line assignment and will remain in that role until the case makes its way through the judicial process, according to the release.

The DPD will perform an administrative review of the incident once the case has finished moving through the courts — a process that includes the Denver Department of Safety and the Office of the Independent Monitor.
