Where the good news shines

Colorado State’s Mya Lesnar’s stellar season continued last week.

The senior shared Mountain West Track and Field Athlete of the Year honors with Fresno State thrower Cierra Jackson. Lesnar was also named a semifinalist for The Bowerman Award, which honors the top collegiate track and field athlete each season.

Lesnar won all seven shot put competitions she entered including taking the NCAA title home. Lesnar became the third athlete in CSU track and field history to capture two national titles (Mostafa Hassan, Bryan Berryhill) and the second to win one indoor and one outdoor (Berryhill).
