Boulder police searching for suspect in armed robbery

Boulder police are searching for an unidentified male suspected of robbing the Circle K convenience store in Lyons at around 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

The suspect fled from the scene on foot with cash from the register before police officers arrived, according to a press release from the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office.

Police said in the press release that no one was hurt during the robbery.

Deputies and officers from the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, Longmont Police Department, and Erie Police Department responded to the robbery and searched with K-9 and drones. However, they were unable to locate the suspect.

Police say that witnesses described the suspect as a white male in his early 20s wearing dark colored pants, a black and white hoodie with angel wings on the back, and a blue bandana covering his face. He had a black “1911 style ” handgun.”

Police also said that the suspect should not be approached, and that if you do have any information about his identity, call the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office at 303-441-4444.
