Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic races train, draws huge crowds in China

Jokic races train in China

Faster than a speeding bullet (train). More powerful than a locomotive. Able to leap… well, we’ll stop there.

If you haven’t already boarded the Nikola Jokic hype train, it’s not too late.

In his latest viral offseason moment, the Nuggets’ three-time MVP center was spotted “racing” a high-speed train in China. In true Joker fashion, he won — sort of. As the train pulled into the station, Jokic galloped alongside and appeared to beat it to the finish.

The Nuggets posted photos of the race from their official Instagram account with the caption: “Typical Joker antics 😂”

The race was a nod to one of his rituals during the Nuggets’ most recent campaign, where he would race teammate Christian Braun during pregame warm-ups and introductions.

“He’s not faster than me, but he’s definitely faster than you’d expect,” Braun told the media.

Jokic would often “cheat” in these races with a bit of a head start.

The train video comes from Jokic’s recent tour of China, where he is reportedly on a five-day promotional tour with his shoe brand, 361 Degrees. The tour spans six cities: Guangzhou, Foshan, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Shijiazhuang, and Beijing. Other videos on social media showed Jokic taking in the local culture and cuisine and interacting with fans abroad.

Outlets in China report that 30,000 fans attended his appearance in Guangzhou.

Racing a train is just the latest in social media antics for the Nuggets superstar, who has cemented himself as one of the most interesting characters to watch in the NBA world, whether it’s discovering dinosaurs, training falcons, or dressing up as Gru to boss around minions.

He also still loves horses
