RMNP to release more campsite reservations at park’s largest campground
Rocky Mountain National Park is releasing additional campsite reservations for Moraine Park Campground starting on August 28 at 8 a.m., with Moraine Park Campground being the largest campground at the park.
The reservations will be for the nights of September 10 through September 27. Prospective campers can make reservations online through the Recreation.gov Mobile App or by calling 1-877-444-6777.
The campground will be closed on Sept. 28 for the completion of some remaining construction items, and will reopen for winter camping opportunities on Oct. 20 on a first come, first serve basis.
The National Park Service (NPW) at RMNP said that the Moraine Park Campground and Utility Rehabilitation Project is a critical infrastructure project that improves water, wastewater, and electrical distribution systems that also serve the Beaver Meadows Visitor Center, RMNP’s headquarters area, and other critical park facilities.
According to the NPS, the campground has 244 total campsites, with 88 for RVs and 155 for tents.
