The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) issued an exposure alert for places where people may have been exposed to measles.
The CDPHE issued the alert on Saturday, listing exposure locations in Fruita and Grand Junction.
According to the CDPHE, there have been 27 measles cases in Colorado this year, including seven in Mesa County. The CDPHE also said that ten of Colorado’s measles cases were associated with an out-of-state traveler who flew while infectious.
The CDPHE released information on locations, dates, times, and when symptoms may occur here. Anyone who was at the locations during the times should monitor for symptoms that could include fever, cough, runny nose, red eyes, and a rash. THE CDPHE also said that if you develop symptoms you should immediately call your health care provider. Symptoms can develop seven to 21 days after exposure.
