Live updates: Colts 29, Broncos 28, final
The Broncos head out on the road for the first time this season for a Sunday matchup against the Colts in Indianapolis. Kickoff is set for 2:05 p.m. with the game being televised on CBS.
Fourth quarter
Colts miss a 60-yarder, but a flag on Denver for leverage gives Indy another chance. Schrader hits the 45-yarder.
Wil Lutz misses a 42-yard field goal and the Broncos’ lead remains 2.
Denver bends but doesn’t break as the defense forces a field goal, and the Broncos still lead 28-26.
With the Broncos in field goal range, Nix overthrows Sutton, and the Colts pick it off. Bad throw by Nix.
Broncos have not forced a punt today, but have stopped the Colts on fourth down twice. Denver takes over near midfield.
Colts start with the ball facing a 2nd and 5.
Third quarter
End of the third quarter: Broncos 28, Colts 230
Broncos forced to punt after a couple first downs. Defense will look to slow down the Colts again.
Colts were on the move again, but Justin Strnad comes up with a big sack to force another Indy field goal. Broncos still lead.
Broncos take the second-half kickoff right down the field and extend their lead back to 8 points. Dobbins with a 5-yard TD run.
Second quarter
Colts go right back down the field and score on a 7-yard pass from Jones to Jonathan Taylor. Broncos up 21-20.
Surtain back on the field for the Broncos.
Another touchdown pass for Nix as he hits tight end Adam Trautman for a 2-yard pass.
Broncos defense holds on fourth down and get the ball back to Nix and the offense.
Patrick Surtain injured and limping off. Looks to be his left ankle.
The Troy Franklin drive ends in a touchdown. Franklin catches three, including a 4-yard TD pass.
Broncos can’t keep the Colts out of the end zone this time as Daniel Jones sneaks in for the 1-yard TD.
First quarter
End of first quarter: Broncos 7, Colts 6
Broncos go three-and-out and will punt the ball back to the Colts.
Colts still haven’t punted this season, but Denver keeps them out of the end zone again. Shrader hits another FG. Broncos up 7-6.
Bo Nix hits Marvin Mims for a 23-yard touchdown. J.K. Dobbins rushes for 28 yards on the drive.
Colts move the ball down the field, but the Denver defense tightens up. Spencer Shrader hits from 29 yards to give the Colts a 3-0 lead.
Broncos win the toss and defer. Defense on the field first.
