Douglas County authorities search for massage business thief
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who allegedly stole thousands of dollars from a Castle Pines massage business owner in August.
In a news release, sheriff’s office officials said the theft took place on Aug. 25 at 4:45 p.m. During which, the suspect had entered a massage business located in the 300 Block of Village Square.
Authorities were told the man claimed to be from New Mexico and requested a massage, according to the sheriff’s office.
Before the massage, authorities said, the man allegedly asked to go to the bathroom, then stole about $6,000 from the owner’s purse and fled.

Sheriff’s officials noted this likely isn’t the first time the suspect stole money from businesses. In July, the same suspect committed a similar crime at a Northglenn business, according to the sheriff’s office.
Authorities said the suspect is White or possibly a Hispanic man with short brown hair. He was seen with a green shirt with a decal blue pants and green sneakers. The sheriff’s office added his vehicle is possibly a white Nissan sedan with an unreadable Colorado license plate.
The sheriff’s office asks anyone with information to contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
