Denver police investigate fatal Colfax hit-and-run
Denver Police Department officers are searching for a driver who fled the scene of a crash after striking and killing a pedestrian along Colfax Avenue overnight Monday.
Police responded to the crash at around 12:12 a.m., according to a Denver Police Department spokesperson.
Police said the motorist struck a pedestrian in the area of East Colfax Avenue and North Trenton Street.
The pedestrian died on scene, police said.
Police described the suspect’s car as a a dark colored sport utility vehicle that might have minor to moderate damage on the front passenger’s side bumper.
