Colorado State’s Lexus Bargesser debuts with 22 points in win over Weber State | Colorado Sunshine

Where good news shines

Colorado State women’s basketball found a good one in Lexus Bargesser.

The Rams opened the season with a 75-58 win over Weber State on Tuesday at Moby Arena behind 22 points from Bargesser, a 5-foot-9 senior guard making her Colorado State debut after transferring from Indiana.

She added four rebounds and three assists. Bargesser became the first player to score 20-plus points in a CSU debut since Lore Devos had 25 in 2017.

Marta Leimane added 17 points, while Madelyn Bragg had 12.

Colorado State hosts Long Beach State at 1 p.m. Sunday (MW Network).
