Broncos signing WR Elijah Moore to practice squad
The Broncos signed free agent wide receiver Elijah Moore to their practice squad Tuesday and waived wide receiver Kyrese Rowan in a corresponding move.
Moore, 25, is a 2021 second-round NFL draft pick (Ole Miss) with 70 career games played between the Jets, Browns and Bills. He caught nine passes for 112 yards in nine games for Buffalo this season. The Bills released Moore last week.
The 5-foot-10, 178-pound receiver visited the Broncos on Monday. Denver has five wide receivers on its 53-man roster: Pat Bryant, Troy Franklin, Lil’Jordan Humphrey, Marvin Mims and Courtland Sutton. The Broncos also have two wide receivers on their practice squad: Michael Bandy and A.T. Perry.
Moore has the upside to compete for a role after two productive years (2023-24) in Cleveland. Moore posted 120 catches for 1,178 yards and three touchdowns over 25 games with the Browns. The Broncos defeated the Browns last season, 41-32, with Moore posting big numbers in the Cleveland loss — eight catches on 14 targets for 111 yards.
The Broncos will need a corresponding roster move to stay at the practice squad limit.
