Denver weather: Sunshine returns Thursday to help melt some of the snow
After several inches of snow fell across metro Denver on Wednesday, the sun returns Thursday with warmer temperatures to help melt some of the snow on road surfaces. But don’t expect much to truly melt, it won’t be that warm.
Denver residents can expect sunny skies today, with a high near 38, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder. South southwest wind 5 to 7 mph becoming west northwest in the afternoon.
Tonight it’ll be partly cloudy, with a low around 21. South southwest wind between 6 to 9 mph.
Weather on Friday is forecast to be warmer still before a shift back to storminess is possible on Saturday. Snow is possible in the western foothills, but should stay away from metro area below 6,000 feet as current weather models forecast.
Next week’s weather brings high temperatures back into the upper 40s to start with 50s most of the week.
