MSU Denver volleyball’s Alyssa Boyte named RMAC Academic Player of the Year | Colorado Sunshine

MSU Denver sophomore Alyssa Boyte earned the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference’s Academic Player of the Year award.
Boyte, who was also named RMAC Defensive Player of the Year, adds another major accolade to her standout volleyball season.
Off the court, Boyte is a psychology major with a 4.00 grade-point average. On the court, she led the conference with 126 blocks, averaging 1.22 blocks per set. Her impact helped anchor one of the RMAC’s top defensive units, as the Roadrunners are first among RMAC teams in opponent assists (971 / 9.43 per set), opponent kills (1,069 / 10.38 per set), and opponent service aces (89 / 0.86 per set), while also placing second in opponent hitting percentage (.156).
The Roadrunners’ NCAA run continues Friday against West Texas A&M in the NCAA South Central Regional semifinals.
