Rapids set to name Tottenham assistant Matt Wells as new coach, according to report
The Rapids will name Tottenham assistant Matt Wells their next head coach, according to a report by The Athletic.
The 37-year-old Wells will be getting his first head coaching job. He is currently an assistant on Thomas Frank’s staff with Tottenham. Wells will be one of the youngest coaches in the MLS.
Colorado parted ways with head coach Chris Armas in October after two seasons in charge. The Rapids finished 11-15-8 this season and fell short of the playoffs.
