News nuggets: Denver Clerk and Recorder moving

CLERK AND RECORDER TO CONSOLIDATE LOCATION, SERVICES

Beginning Monday, the Denver Clerk and Recorder will consolidate and relocate all services into one building at 200 W. 14th Ave.

Marriage licenses, land recordings, deeds of trust, foreclosure services, and other legal filing services that have been historically offered at the Wellington E. Webb Municipal Building will be available in the new location.

The move aims to make accessing services more convenient and reduce the city’s costs.

The move and consolidation will not affect the services offered.

CITY COUNCIL TO RENOVATE CHAMBERS

The Denver City Council Chambers will undergo renovations next year to bring the facility into compliance with the Americans with Disability Act. The council will hold its last meeting of 2025 in the chambers on Monday.

Future meetings will be held in the Parr-Widener Room (room 389). Construction is expected to last until June 2026.

There will be no City Council meeting on Dec. 29.

PARKS AND RECS HOLIDAY CLOSURES

Dever Parks and Recreation will close at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, and remain closed through Thursday in observance of the Christmas holiday.

Additionally, centers will also close Dec. 31 and Jan. 1 in celebration of the new year.

A complete text of these rules is available on the Denver Elections Division website, www.DenverVotes.org, and in printed form at the Office of the Denver Clerk and Recorder.

Members of the public who wish to provide written comments may do so until the date of the hearing. Written comments may be emailed to crcompliance@denvergov.org, or mailed or delivered in person to Denver Clerk and Recorder, 200 W. 14th Ave., Suite 100, Denver, CO 80204; or delivered in person at the hearing.
