Broncos’ Vance Joseph adds Ravens to busy interview week for head coach
Another day, another team wanting to interview Vance Joseph.
A source said Wednesday night that the Baltimore Ravens reached out to the Broncos to request an interview for their opening for a head coach. The remote interview is expected to take place Thursday.
Of the six teams that have openings for a coach, only the Cleveland Browns have yet to set up express interest in Joseph. The Tennessee Titans, Las Vegas Raiders, New York Giants, Atlanta Falcons and Arizona Cardinals all previously reached out to set up appointments with Joseph.
Joseph will look to have his remote interviews wrapped up before the Broncos take the field for a practice Friday in preparation for the playoffs. The Broncos (14-3) have a bye in the wild-card round due to claiming the AFC’s No. 1 seed and will next take the field for a a divisional playoff game Jan. 17 or 18 at home.
After this week, Joseph would not be able to interview with another team until after the Broncos lose in the playoffs or, if they make the Super Bowl, during the week after the AFC Championship Game.
The Ravens’ job became open when John Harbaugh was surprisingly fired Tuesday after 18 years as their coach.
