Broncos to host Bills at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in AFC divisional round
The Broncos will face the Buffalo Bills in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Empower Field at Mile High. The game will be televised by CBS.
It was announced Sunday night the game will be on Saturday, but the time and network weren’t announced until after the Houston Texans defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 30-6 in a wild-card playoff game Monday night.
The NFL wanted to wait until all six wild-card games were over before announcing times for divisional games Saturday and Sunday.
The Broncos (14-3) are the No. 1 seed in the AFC playoffs and received a bye in the wild-card round. That put them in line to play the lowest remaining seed in the AFC, and that became the No. 6 Bills, who won 27-24 Sunday at Jacksonville.
The Broncos faced the Bills in the wild-card round last season, losing 31-7 at Buffalo.
The No. 5 Texans will play at No. 2 New England on Sunday. The winner will face the winner of the Broncos-Bills game in the AFC championship game.
