To mark International Golden Retriever Day, the city of Golden will host it’s ever-popular “Goldens in Golden” event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday. It’s grown bigger in popularity each year since its start in 2019. Organizers ask for “friendly, leashed, well-socialized dogs only.” To help accommodate the growing crowds, city officials launched a free off-site parking area at The Splash at Fossil Trace with dog-friendly shuttles. Washington Street will be closed for the event. Come prepared for any weather, snow or shine. Here’s a link for frequently asked questions and more information.
