Denver weather: Temperature climbs near record high Monday
Temperatures are expected to be unseasonably warm with partly sunny skies in Denver on Monday, weather forecasters predict.
The National Weather Service in Boulder said the high is expected to reach 70 degrees at Denver International Airport, the city’s official weather monitoring station. That’s about 25 degrees warmer than the average high temperature for Feb. 9 in Denver, according to weather service records.
The all-time record high in Denver for this date is 73 degrees set in 1954, but the mark should not be in jeopardy of being surpassed Monday, according to meteorologist projections.
Expect winds at 8 to 11 mph in Denver on Monday, gusting up to 17 mph. Tonight, those winds could get breezy, gusting up to 28 mph, with the low temperature dipping to 32 degrees.
The weather service said to expect sunny skies and mild temperatures through Wednesday, before a chance for rain moves into the Denver forecast for Thursday and Friday.
