CU Buffs spring game date set

Your chance to see the new-look Colorado football team is coming.

The Buffaloes’ annual Black & Gold spring game at Folsom Field is set for 1 p.m. Saturday, April 11, the program announced Thursday.

For the first time in the Deion Sanders era, tickets will be free and can be claimed starting March 3. Gates will open at 11 a.m.

Heading into the fourth season of Coach Prime’s tenure, the Buffs have welcomed over 50 new players this offseason and will have to replace several key players from last season, including left tackle Jordan Seaton and wide receiver Omarion Miller.

Redshirt freshman quarterback Julian “JuJu” Lewis is the most notable returner, but he has the No. 22-ranked transfer portal class (No. 4 in the Big 12), joining him in Boulder.

CU’s season opener is set for Thursday, Sept. 3, against Georgia Tech in Atlanta. The home opener is the following week against Weber State. Season tickets are still available at cubuffs.evenue.net.
