Where good news shines
Cherokee Trail and Arapahoe are the teams to beat in Class 6A girls basketball.
The Cougars and Warriors ranked No. 1 and 2, respectively, in the CHSAA rankings released Monday. They were followed by No. 3 Valor Christian and No. 4 Broomfield.
Arapahoe beat Cherokee Trail 56-51 on Saturday, the second time this season Arapahoe has gotten the better of Cherokee Trail.
The other top-ranked teams on the girls side were Lutheran (Class 5A), University (4A), Denver Christian (3A), Merino (2A) and McClave (1A).
