Denver weather: Showers likely Tuesday afternoon
An umbrella could come in handy on Tuesday in Denver. Weather forecasters said there’s a chance of afternoon and evening showers.
The National Weather Service in Boulder said to expect mostly cloudy skies Tuesday, with a chance for showers and thunderstorms between 1 and 3 p.m.
Meteorologists said showers are “likely” and thunderstorms are “possible” after 3 p.m., with the chance of precipitation sitting at 60%. There’s a 50% chance of showers before 11 p.m. and then skies will gradually become partly cloudy, the weather service said.
The high temperature is expected to reach 62 degrees in Denver on Tuesday with breezy winds that could gust up to 25 mph. That forecast high temperature is right in line the average high for April 14 in Denver, which is normally 61 degrees, according to weather service archive data.
Tonight, expect the low to dip to about 37 degrees, the weather service said.
